Another year is about to wrap up, so I enjoy looking back at my ‘yearly progress’ in photography. I keep saying to myself that I’m not where I want to be. I’m not producing the types of photos that I want to. I can say without a doubt, there is progress though. This year I entered into two juried photography competitions, and I was asked to keep my work displayed at one, and in the other I placed first. That’s confirmation enough that I’ve begun to leave an impact upon others. I also taught a night sky photography class on the beach.
I’m on that long journey of continual learning. I know not where I am headed or where it will bring me. At times, I can’t help but feel like I’m drunk talking to an empty room, just blabbing at the walls. I post on so many social media sites, but it at times it feels hollow with no real connections with people. That’s what I enjoy the most. The interactions with people that are genuinely interested in what I create. So thank you for taking the time to read this, and following anything I’ve posted up to this point.
Hopefully a few of you will stick around long enough and continue to enjoy what I do. If not, I’ll just be blissfully ignorant to the world as I capture some unique moments one frame at a time.
